Mold Making 101

$585.00

Have you ever wanted to make one thing a lot? Well let me tell you - it’s pretty magical to do so! Mold making is a wonderful but tedious process, helping artists and makers the ability to create multiples, series, or consistent work, and here at Kitte Club we make it simple, giving you a well rounded understanding of molds and their various applications as well as step by step instructions and demonstration on how to make and use them! Each mold you make will be with either found objects of your choice or your own created work, making start to finish a mold you can and will want to continue to cast over and over again!

We take you through:

  • Mold making History & Applications

  • Various types of Molds and why each are used

  • We will be making and working with:

    • 2 Part Plaster Mold

    • Press Molds

    • Drape Molds

  • Making & Casting Slip

  • Clean up and additives

  • Some more creative applications and experiments
